2501 Grant Helps Spread Regenerative Agriculture Knowledge Throughout Taos County

This three-year grant from USDA is helping socially disadvantaged and veteran farmers and ranchers with increasing the financial sustainability of their farm and ranch operations using climate-smart practices. Through community partnerships, this grant is combining modern innovations and traditional agricultural practices to advance local traditions, including those pertaining to our acequias - ancient irrigation systems supplying water for livestock and crops. This project is ultimately contributing to a strong local economy and thriving local food system in Northern New Mexico.
